Speaking True: The Sucker's Choice

Conflict is inevitable in our lives because everything in the world exists as a result of forces that necessarily push and pull. It is that push and pull that creates tension, which we call conflict when we are caught in the middle of it. Success in life is determined by our ability to navigate that tension. In contrast, the Sucker’s Choice is when we perceive we only have two possible options, each associated with either the push or the pull, both of which will result in bad outcomes, therefore we feel stuck. We do not see any other option. Engaging the Sucker’s Choice with curiosity and a sense of exploration will invariably find what some spiritualists call a “third way”, a way of reconciliation, a solution waiting to be discovered.
