What Does it Mean to Be an Effective Leader?

Leadership may be more important now in the world than ever before. Yet all of us fill some kind of leader role at some point in our lives. How we succeed in that role is greatly impacted by the kind of inner work we've undertaken with ourselves. After all, who we are and what we do can be nothing other than an outer reflection of our innermost selves. A few years ago I was asked by Toastmasters to deliver a presentation about transcendent or transformative leadership. This video is from that gathering, but the leadership lessons are universal.
