A Grand Spiritual Design

A Perfect Design for Life and Living?

“Another damned opportunity for growth!” Caitlyn exclaimed, and not necessarily with any good intention behind her emotions. She’d been deep in a process of psycho-spiritual exploration for a few years, and had covered quite a lot of ground. However, she still felt the demands of her chosen path to be a burden at times.

“Yep,” I confirmed. “Always another awareness. Either a repeat variation on a theme, or something new being revealed. A perfect, divine, diagnostic process.

“Except, I don’t buy in to the God thing,” she replied with an edge in her voice.

I laughed. “Understood, Caitlyn. Then let’s just say that creation has evolved this into the design for life and for living. Always more data to come to us, so we can always keep growing our awareness and effectiveness as an ongoing organism.”

“You just make shit up, don’t you?” she asked with a laugh.

“Well, of course! We too are an evolving part of the creative process. So we create an endless number of ways of seeing and framing.”

“Don’t you ever wish it would just stop?”

“Not anymore, Caitlyn. At some point, I came to accept the design in the same way I accept gravity. It’s just a reality. Really no point in having an opinion about it. Using the gravity example, not only does it not care about my perspective, what I think of it makes absolutely no difference on how it works.”

“Then,” I continued, “There came a moment when I really appreciated the value of the diagnostic data. I began to welcome it. Guess you could say I moved beyond accepting it, and began to seek it out.”

“Not there yet, Ron,” she replied simply. “Not sure I want to get there. But I do wonder what the hell is the point of this design idea you’re pitching?”

“Great question!” I responded. “Life wants us to learn, and grow, and thrive. So it provides us with valuable information.”

“Well, that’s practical,” Caitlyn replied. “Don’t you suppose there’s something more to it than that? Isn’t there some kind of a point to it?”

I laughed. “Someone once told me the Creator wanted us to be a part of creating. Don’t know about that. However, I am aware that we get to experience it all. Maybe that is its own reason. Or maybe it is the ability to experience that promotes our growth. Regardless, finding a purpose that works well for us is useful contemplation. One thing is for sure. There is so much about which to be curious. And maybe to see what we can make of it.
